Jianna started out afraid to even get part of her face in the water and ended the week, swimming in the deep end, doing her glides and strokes without goggles and jumping off the diving board.
This was huge, and the first day she did it, I started to tell her daddy in her presence.
I was told I could not tell him....well, at least not in front of her. When we asked her why she said "I don't want you to be too proud"...."I want you to be less proud of me".
Yeah, ummm, sorry little girl, that is NEVER going to happen!
(this child is a never ending well of blogging stories, she doesn't know I am writing this, and just brought me out the following note).
"I never want to do swimming lessons ever again. Emma, (her instructor) is the only one I trust and since Emma is going to be in university for like 6 years I will be 13"
....Oh MY! She just came out again, and burst into tears and told me she was SERIOUS about the note and that she really liked Emma and she NEVER wanted to replace her...
My girl falls hard, when she likes you, she REALLY likes you.

okay. now that's funny.
Sounds like Emma might be a keeper.
Pride eh? I have a bunch too!! Hannah & Isaiah are great swimmers, and I get all puffed up just thinking about it. lol. Hannah has moved into the "leisure" swimming of diving for objects, doing handstands in the deepend etc. Puff. Puff. HA!!
So glad they are enjoying themselves==what a great life lesson. (swimming)
