I am in Awe of how my Heavenly Father is continuously taking that which is unlovely, broken or discarded in and around me and creates something of great beauty and value. How He is able to take the difficulties and even the tragedies of life and use them to perfect and refine us into someone that brings Him Glory...to bring Beauty from the Ashes.
Holly, You are a hoot! Actually, I don't believe I have ever made a sour cream pie....I usually do fruit, pecan or pumpkin....and I really only make them for Thanksgiving, Christmas and when I have a guest who loves pie....like my Father or Uncle.
Mark's birth mom taught me to make pie crusts and they ALWAYS turn out wonderful....simple, only use Tenderflake, follow the recipe on the box, BUT add an extra egg...it makes a HUGE difference and I can even mix it up in my Kitchen Aid, and It will be flaky and yummy.
I do have secrets for finding great recipes though....what kind of pie do you want to make?
